Jingle
bells
Pat Boone Alvin
& Chipmonks ¡æ Boney
M ¡æ
Dashing through the snow
in a one-horse open sleigh,
O'er the fields we go,
laughing all the way.
Bells on bobtail ring,
making spirits bright.
What fun it is to ride and sing
a sleighing song tonight.
Chorus
:
Jingle bells, jingle bells,
Jingle all the way.
Oh, what fun it is to ride
in a one-horse open sleigh.
Now the ground is white,
go it while you're young.
Take the girls tonight and
sing this sleighing song.
Get a bobtailed bay,
two-forty for his speed.
Then hitch him to an open sleigh
and crack! you'll take the lead.
A day or two ago I thought I'd take a
ride
and soon Miss Fannie Bright
was seated by my side.
The horse was lean and lank, misfortune
seem'd his lot.
He got into a drifted bank
and then we got upshot.
A day or two ago, the story I must tell
I went out on the snow, and on my back I fell;
A gent was riding by, in a one-horse open sleigh
He laughed as there I sprawling lie but quickly drove away

Peter, Paul & Mary ¡æ
When I was just a wee little boy
full of health and joy;
One Christmas morning
I've seen a marvelous little toy.
A wonder to behold it was, with many
colors bright,
and the moment I laid eyes
on it, it became my heart's delight.
It went ¢©zip¢©when it moved, and
¢©bop¢©when it stopped,
And ¢©whirr¢©when it stood still.
I never knew just what it was
and I guess I never will.
The first time that I picked it up
I had a big surprise,
For right on its bottom were two big
buttons that looked like big green eyes,
I first pushed one and then the other,
And then I twisted its lid,
and when I set it down again,
Here is what it did:
It first marched left and then marched
right and then marched under a chair,
And when I looked where it had gone,
It wasn't even there !
I started to cry and my daddy laughed,
For he knew that I would find,
When I turned around, my marvelous toy,
Chugging from behind.
Well, the years have past by too quickly,
It seems, and I have my own little boy,
And yesterday I gave to him my
marvelous little toy.
His eyes nearly popped right out of his
head and he gave a squeal of glee.
Neither one of us knows just what it is,
But he loves it, just like me.
(Final chorus)
It still goes¢©zip¢©when it moves and
¢©bop¢©when it stops
And ¢©whirr¢©when it stands still.
I never knew just what it was
and I guess I never will.

There's a wonderous sight and a joyful sound
Every Christmas Eve in a western town
Gather up the kids, all the friends and family
'Cause the holly's hung and the candles bright
They're
tuning up the fiddles on a moonlit night
Roll back the rug so we can
two step 'round the Christmas tree.
There's a jolly man in a bright red suit
Did you ever see a Santa in cowboy boots
Whirling 'cross the floor spurs a
jingling merrily
When they sing those carols soft and low
Well
I'll be shouting out Cotton Eye Joe
Roll back the rug so we can
two step 'round the Christmas tree.
Waiting 'neath the mistletoe you'll never get a kiss
I never move that slow there's too much I could miss
"Cause a western girl can't be still
and a Silent Night is not for me
Roll back the rug so we can
two step 'round the Christmas Tree.
Red Bandanas, chili green,
Silver buckles on a new blue jeans
Shuffling 'round the room to a yuletide melody
Well
I'm gonna be ready when Santa comes
But I'm gonna be dancing till he does
Roll back the rug so we can
two step 'round the Christmas tree.
Waiting 'neath the mistletoe you'll never get a kiss

7 o'clock news / Silent night Simon & Garfunkel
This is the early evening edition of the news.
The recent fight in the House of Representatives was over
the open housing section of the Civil Rights Bill.
Brought traditional enemies together but it left the defenders
of the measure without the votes of their strongest supporters.
President Johnson originally proposed an outright ban covering
discrimination by everyone for every type of housing
but it had no chance from the start and everyone in Congress knew it.
A compromise was painfully worked out in the House Judiciary Committee.
In Los Angeles today comedian Lenny Bruce died of what was believed
to be an overdoes of narcotics. Bruce was 42 years old.
Dr. Martin Luther King says he does not intend to cancel plans
for an open housing march Sunday into the Chicago suburb of Cicero.
Cook County Sheriff Richard Ogleby asked King to call off the march
and the police in Cicero said they would ask the National Guard
to be called out if it is held.
King, now in Atlanta, Georgia, plans to return to Chicago Tuesday.
In Chicago Richard Speck, accused murderer of nine student nurses,
was brought before a grand jury today for indictment.
The nurses were found stabbed an strangled in their Chicago apartment.
In Washington the atmosphere was tense today as a special subcommittee
of the House Committee on Un-American activities continued its probe
into anti-Vietnam war protests.
Demonstrators were forcibly evicted from the hearings when they began
chanting anti-war slogans. Former Vice-President Richard Nixon says that
unles there is a substantial increase in the present war effort in Vietnam,
the U.S. should look forward to five more years of war.
In a speech before the Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in New York,
Nixon also said opposition to the war in this country is the greatest single
weapon working against the U.S.
That's the 7 o'clock edition of the news, Goodnight.
Silent night, Holy night
All is calm, All is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.

Frosty the snowman Alvin
& Chipmonks ¡æ
-
Dean Martin - Brenda
Lee ¡æ
Thumpedy, thump, thump,
Thumpedy, thump, thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpedy, thump, thump,
Thumpedy, thump, thump,
Over the hill there's a snow.
Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul
With the corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale they say
He was made of snow but the children know
How he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that
Old silk hat they found
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance all around.
Oh, Frosty the snowman was alive as he could be
And the children say he could laugh and play
Just the same as you and me.
Frosty the snowman knew the sun was hot that day,
so he said "Let's run and have some fun before I melt away"
Down to the village with the broom stick in his hand
From here and there all around
That square said "Catch me if you can"
He led them down the street of town right to the traffic cop
And he only paused a moment when he heard him holler,
"Stop", boy!
Frosty the snowman had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye said
"Please don't cry I'll be back again someday"
Thumpedy, thump, thump,
Thumpedy, thump, thump,
Look at Frosty go
Thumpedy, thump, thump,
Thumpedy, thump, thump,
Over the hill there's a snow.

Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day.
And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day.
Long time ago in Bethlehem, so the Holy Bible said
(say),
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day.
Chorus
:
Hark, now hear the angels sing, a king was born today,
(Hark,
now hear the angels sing, a new king born today)
And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day.
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day.
While shepherds watch their flocks by night,
they see(saw) a bright new shining star,
they hear a choir sing a song, the music seemed to come from afar.
(And heard a choir from heaven sing, the music came from afar)
Hark, now hear the angels sing, a king was born today,
And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day.
Oh a moment still worth was a glow, all the bells rang out
there were tears of joy and laughter, people shouted
"let everyone know, there is hope for all to find peace".
Chorus 2 :
Trumpets sound and angels sing, Listen what they say,
That man will live forever more, Because of Christmas Day.
Now Joseph and his wife Mary, came to Bethlehem that night,
they found no place to bear her child, not a single room was in sight.
By and by they found a little nook in a stable all forlorn,
And in a manger cold and dark, Mary's little boy was born.

Christmas makes you feel emotional
It may bring parties or thoughts devotional
Whatever happens or whatever may be
Here is what Christmas time means to me.
City sidewalks, busy sidewalks,
dressed in holiday style.
In the air there's a feeling of Christmas
Children laughing, people passing,
meeting smile after smile,
And on ev'ry street corner you hear;
Chorus :
Silver bells, silver bells,
It's Christmas time in the city.
Ring-a-ling hear them ring,
Soon it will be Christmas Day.
Strings of streetlight, even stop lights
blink a bright red and green,
As the shoppers rush home with their
treasures. Hear the snow crunch, see the
kids bunch, this is Santa's big scene,
And above all this bustle you hear;
